Our staff

A vitally important part of a nursery is having the right people.

We have a wonderful team here, all with a wealth of experience, a recognised childcare qualification and most of all a genuine affinity with the children. 

We are committed to furthering our knowledge of current childcare and education practice and staff regularly attend courses.  Two of our staff have Early Years Degrees, and one Early Years Professional Status.   Other courses recently attended are Early Years Foundation Stage, Child Protection, Observation Skills, Common Assessment Framework, Health and Safety , Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, plus many more on offer from Children’s Services Training Team.

The staff are consistent in each group, and every child has a key person who is responsible for their care and learning.  Our groups are small, so children and parents soon get to know the staff in each room.

We also have two music teachers, with different styles and a dance teacher who visit weekly.

Our staff turnover is low, in fact 4 of us have been here for over 20 years!
