Welcome to Playtime Nursery

At Playtime we realise that choosing the right childcare can be one of the most important decisions you will make.

We strive to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where your child will feel welcome and valued, and you will feel confident that he or she is happy and safe in our care.

Our last OFSTED inspection in June 2009 got an OUTSTANDING grading in ALL AREAS.

Our nursery occupies a large converted detached house with an amazing outdoor space at the rear. We have off road access to the nursery from the hospital car park behind.

Rooms are spacious and well equipped to enable staff to provide exciting and fun activities to meet the needs of each individual child.

Playtime was started in 1990 by Bev Davenport, a registered nurse and health visitor. It became a limited company in 2008 although staff and management remain the same. All our team hold an early years qualification and are dedicated to providing top quality care and education for the under fives.

We have also achieved the Birmingham Healthy Setting Award in which we had to demonstrate our commitment to healthy eating, physical activity, emotional health and well being and personal, social and health education.

Jean, our cook, provides a healthy home cooked lunch every day and a nutritious tea.
